Kate first met Claire nearly 20 years ago when she was a pupil at Parsnips! Kate has always loved performing, she moved to London and trained professionally in Musical Theatre at The Urdang Academy. She has played lead roles such as The Baker’s Wife “Into The Woods” and Violet Newstead “9 to 5”. Kate has performed in theatres across the country, including featured soloist at the Hackney Empire and also debuting in a UK Premiere.

Kate’s training includes singing, dancing and acting, and she is also an accomplished Grade 8 flautist. She has won many Musical Theatre awards over the years and was a finalist in the All England Championships.

As well as teaching acting, singing & dancing - Kate is also a Wedding Singer! She performs at weddings all over the UK and is a Recommended Supplier at several incredible wedding venues. Kate loves providing the music for a couple’s special day, her favourite part is singing brides down the aisle!

Kate has directed several musical theatre shows and straight plays. She has coached students through their drama school auditions, helping pupils gain places at their dream colleges. She loves to see students nurturing their talents and growing in confidence.

With over a decade of teaching experience, Kate is delighted to continue working with the wonderful students at Parsnips.
