Claire Parsons (Director and Teacher) –

Claire founded Parsnips in September 2001 after graduating from Brunel University with a BA (Hons) 2:1 in Modern Drama Studies. Claire has loved performing from a young age, acting first at school and then in London’s West End for the National Youth Theatre. However it has been with the Parsnips that she has uncovered a passion for teaching, directing and writing new and original theatre. Claire’s main aim is to share her love of the theatre with as many young people as would like to learn about it and to make playwrights (such as Shakespeare), theatre practitioners (such as Stanislavski and Brecht) and modern contemporary theatre practice as accessible and enjoyable for young people as possible. Everyone is welcome to join and anyone can be a part of Parsnips big drama family.

Claire’s favourite quote – “Whether you believe you can, or you believe you can’t, you’re absolutely right”
