Ria Bower (Teacher)
Following falling in love with directing and writing at college Ria set up Rutland Youf Artz in Uppingham with Claire et al. They ran around 20 shows together, some of which she co-wrote. She directed and stage managed alongside Claire there and set up her own after-school theatre company which ran for several years across Rutland and Leicestershire. She also co-manages a live music events business -“Rocky Road Music” and is a registered Nutritional Therapist and mum of two. But Ria says she is always delighted to be welcomed back into the Parsnips family to work the dress rehearsals, work one to one with young people who need some more support, or just cover lessons – the ethos of Parsnips, to cater for and nurture every individual young person makes it a wonderful place to work.
