STOP THE PRESS!

STOP THE PRESS: Each year Harborough Theatre, with whom Parsnips is in partnership, enters the National One Act Play Festival with adult and youth entries. The Youth team is comprised of members of Parsnips Youth Theatre. This year, five members of the company have been working with the exceptional team at MHDS under the direction of the wondeful John Foreman on "Who Calls". Last night they competed against eight other groups from around the county (adult companies, this is not a youth competition) AND THEY WON!!! First place, best youth actor, best stage presentation and adjudicators award!!! They were sensational and now move onto the quarter finals in Nuneaton. John and Helen Foreman (who are just an inspiration) have put together a wonderful team of awesome stage managers, technical wizards and a set/prop team who are bonafide geniuses and this win was so deserved by everyone involved. The kids are an utter credit to their supportive and loving parents/guardians and we all at Parsnips could not be prouder of what they have achieved. I'm so glad I could be there to watch you triumph and conduct yourselves so professionally. It was a lucky day when Parsnips met John who has brought so much joy and success to these young people who will take everything that Harborough Theatre has given them into their future - these are memories to last a lifetime.
